Design & Make Exhibition at Central St. Martins

December 2008: Design and Make Exhibition for second year Textile Design. I worked around the theme Metamorphosis. I made a knitted water fountain and silk and cotton printed samples with weird drawings of birds and fishes (you have to look closely to see them properly!) and then I used wine bottles to hang them at the exhibition.

Origami

Collage made of photographs and drawings. I tried to folded it to make an aeroplane (following instructions of an Origami book) but paper was to thick so i just scanned it. Image is a bit blurred, but like it like this!

Fish Birds (and fish scissors, and fish hands,...)

Legs head

I am a bit scared of this woman...! I draw her on a piece of cardboard and then played with it on photoshop

Acrylic metamorphosis

Love these colours (not the pink...!). I am using a lot this image for my current projects because of its texture and b/w lines

Heads metamorphosis

Metamorphosis

I started by the two men in the bottom and kept on drawing following the shapes of each new object. The original is drawn on a cardboard and it's bigger than A3 format.

Little sketches

I bought a tiny sketch book and had so little space in each page that felt really productive everytime I finished one drawing.

Man in the mirror

and more
and more...
Acrylic painting and then reproduced in photoshop. Last one looks like a small city

Camouflage using slides

Difficult to choose which ones to post...A crazy and an amazing time taking these pictures which wouldn't had been possible without Maria Fidalgo and Lucas Muñoz 's collaboration.
We did all the work in one hour while the shop 3 Gongoras was closed at lunch time. Maria was perfect model. We laughed so much thinking of new ideas.

Hand printing samples

These are my favourite final printing samples. (I was obsessed with bubbles)

On top of the kitchen floor

I painted cake paper with acrylics so that it looks exactly as the floor. This was part of my research for my camouflage brief

A new cloud

Love this picture!

Dolls & Cups

Painted dolls and cups with acrylics, then hiding them in the streets around my block in Madrid... I was quite embarrassed at the begining when people were staring at me..."what is she doing?!" but after a while I really had fun!
