Peter Pilotto´s show ss10
I worked for two studios this summer: Cooperative Designs and Peter Pilotto. These are images before and during Peter Pilotto's show which took place in an underground level of a music store in Soho. Anna Wintour assisted, went back stage before the show to see closely the garments and meet personally Christopher and Peter.

The big day: Cooperative Designs´ presentation
Electronic music from Berlin. Huge Bauhaus chess board. Film projected (done by Amy Gwatkin while photoshooting the collection). I wish I had the original video to post because this one that I did was done quickly, before we had to close. You can´t really see what shows but you get an idea of the original...

Cooperative Designs photoshoot ss10
SS10 collection is inspired by the Bauhaus aesthetic. Once finished is ready to be shooted following stylist´s looks. It´s surprising to see how all the work comes together, how all the pieces are mixed and accesorized. I really enjoyed helping stylist Liz Cardwell in her work.
This is a picture of the final lookbook:

I-D magazine / Cooperative Designs
Working for Cooperative Designs (check their website, best young knit designers!), I was asked to make this garment (machine knitted and crochet) for a project with All walks beyond the catwalk. This collaboration appears in this month issue of i-D where seven other designers present their pieces too.
" As London Fashion Week celebrates it 25th anniversary and British designers unveil spring summer /10, All walks beyond the catwalk casts a small peddle in the pond of uniformity to watch its impact ripple outwards. here cutting edge design honours the woman, her body and her unique magic. And for our models: ages 18 to 65 and sizes 8 to 16, i-D is the spiritual home for the launch of a fashion initiative where tomorrow's big names salute individuality and diversity today. "

Post-apocalyptic world
Last project: create accesories for a post-apocalyptic world. Took more time than expected to make this two pieces, long nights and deadline pressure! I worked with pieces of zinc that I shaped and all kind of metals that I could find. All done at home with domestic knitting machine. Maria is modelling for me!we decided to do this photo shooting in a cementery, north-east London.

And from South Corea....
Product Designer Kwangho Lee creates big knotting objects out of cables: lighting, chairs,... Amazing stuff. I love the way this technique is used in such a big scale and its impact by using only one colour. I completly used his whole website for last project research!

METROPOLI
These are some samples done for this project "Metropoli" inspired by the bright colours and block shapes of the games in the city. I played around with plastics, incorporating them with my knitting...This was our first approach to the dubied machines(industrial knit machine). Really enjoyed this project.(first picture is our group outcome)

Bubbles
I made this pictures out of soap inside a bottle to get a porous and volume effects for my research for a brief on experimental knitted textures for WSGN (company that forecasts trends in fashion and design), Love how small and big bubbles play around and those unexpected rainbow colours... (don't drink it)
